The Quadrant
Our story opens within the isolated quadrant of space given to humans by the Greater Galactic Council, and separated by The Barrier, meant to keep the Sapien Threat clear from the rest of the civilizations that make up the stars.
Known as the Unified Sapien Quadrant, a vast capitalist nightmare awaits Travellers, with mega-corporations in control of our day to day for those who choose to live under the rule and protection of Unified Command. Or, for those not afraid of a little hard work, and the ever-present threat of pirate attacks, one could live within Colony controlled outposts. And for the truly adventurous, there is a life of piracy, or a clandestine existence as a free-speech protector, as a member of the free and independent news networks that operate through relays and resistance cells.
But the growing threat of piracy is not the only thing Travelers with The Quad need to fear, because a deadly virus is on the loose, and an ancient and unholy organization seeks to release a reality-ending monstrosity.
